Employee's eye burned when splashed by hot cooking oil

At approximately 2:10 p.m. on May 1, 1991, Employee #1, age 18, was directed to prepare french fries using a deep fryer. She placed a standard portion of frozen french fries into the basket and inserted the basket into the hot oil. The grease spattered, burning her right eye. No eye protection was worn or available.
