Employee's eye injured when struck by glass fragments

Employee #1 apparently struck an unenclosed fluorescent tube with a mop handle and fragments of the broken tube struck him in the right eye. The cornea of his eye was lacerated and he subsequently suffered impaired vision in his right eye that may be permanent. The fluorescent tube was located 8 ft above the work floor.
