Investigation Summary
At about 11:40 a.m. on September 7, 1993, at Home Maid Ravioli, Inc., Employee #1 was operating an egg noodle cutting machine. As he reached into the machine to pull out the finished product, his finger was caught by the descending cutter blade which was idling under the inertia of the rotating parts of the de-energized machine. Employee #1 suffered a severe cut and fracture to his finger. He was treated in the hospital and released.
