Employee bruised when hit by falling fencing

Employee #1, of D. Hill Trucking, was the driver of a loaded truck at a job site. He had just started to unhook his load of equipment from the driver's side, then moved to the passenger side to pull off the 4-inch-wide cargo strap. At the same time, the other company that was to unload the equipment made a lift from the driver's side of the load. The fence material still on the truck bed, weighing approximately 3,000 lb, fell over on Employee #1. Lying on the ground where he fell backward was a large structural I-beam, which protected him from being crushed by the falling load. The employee's injuries were limited to bruised ribs and a small hole in the side of his body.
