Employee's hand caught between tow bar and hitch

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on April 10, 1992, Employee #1 was manually hitching the tow bar of a compressor trailer to the towing hitch of a truck. The truck was parked on an incline, and as Employee #1 pulled the trailer's wheels onto the incline, it ran back down the slope, pinning his hand between the tow bar and the hitch. He was hospitalized for surgery. Employee #1's supervisor was working with him at the site.
