Investigation Summary
At approximately 9:15 a.m. on August 18, 1991, Employee #1, a drafter, was standing 80 to 100 feet away from an approximately 25 ft high by 50 ft wide brick wall, taking pictures as it was demolished by an excavator. When the wall collapsed on the concrete slab floor, a piece of a brick shot out and struck Employee #1 in the left leg. He sustained a fracture below the knee and was admitted to San Francisco General Hospital.
