Employee injured when he falls from lifting skyline cable

At approximately 8:35 a.m. on April 4, 1992, Employee #1, a rigging slinger on a tower logging side, was picking out the next turn of logs for the chokermen while the skyline cable was slack and lying on the ground and the previous turn was being landed. As the slack line was being lifted, the employee was caught by the line and lifted approximately 30 feet in the air. As the line was tightened, Employee #1 lost his grip and fell. He landed on a log and sustained multiple concussions.
