Employee reaggravates injury while at work

On April 25, 1994, Employee #1 was installing flashing on the roof of an east wall canopy when he experienced pain in his lower back and numbness in his left leg. He dropped to his knees on the roof and yelled for assistance. Coworkers contacted the project manager for Center-Simpson, who called 911. Employee #1 was lowered nine stories to the ground, then taken to Duke Medical Center, where it was determined that Employee #1 had aggravated a previous injury. He was released the same day. No one saw the incident take place.
