Employee is struck and killed by falling limb

Employee #1 was using a hand-held chain saw to cut down trees for a pulpwood logging operation. He was working alone in a wooded swamp area when a dead limb dislodged from a nearby tree and fell approximately 55 feet, striking him on his left temple. Employee #1 died.
