ELECTRIC SHOCK - CONTACT WITH LIVE PARTS THRU WIRE STRIPPER

AN EMPLOYEE OF AN ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR WAS WORKING FROM A FIBERGLASS LADDER, INSTALLING THE WIRING FOR A CHANDELIER. THE CIRCUIT ON WHICH HE WAS WORKING WAS ENERGIZED. THE EMPLOYEE WAS STRIPPING THE UNGROUNDED CIRCUIT CONDUCTOR WHEN HE CONTACTED THE "UNINSULATED" PORTION OF THE WIRE STRIPPER. HIS RIGHT ANKLE WAS IN CONTACT WITH THE CHANDELIER AT THE TIME, AND THE EMPLOYEE WAS ELECTROCUTED. THERE WAS NO LICENSED ELECTRICIAN ON THE JOB.
