Event: 05/27/1993
FALL - EMPLOYEE EJECTED FROM AERIAL LIFT

A tree trimmer was using the upper portion of the boom on an aerial lift to remove a bush. He had tied a rope to the bush. He then entered the bucket and raised it about 7.6 meters above the ground, creating tension on the rope. When he moved the boom, the rope broke and catapulted the employee out of the bucket. He landed about 18.3 meters away from the aerial lift. He died of his injuries shortly after the accident.
