Event: 09/30/1991
Employee killed when caught and pinned between two trucks

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on September 30, 1991, Employee #1 pulled his truck approximately 100 ft away from the loading hopper after receiving a load of concrete and began washing the back of his truck with a water hose. A maintenance man, who had just finished repairing another truck, got into his service truck and backed up. He felt a thump, pulled forward, and got out of his truck. He saw Employee #1 on the ground, pinned between the concrete truck and the service truck. Employee #1 suffered a broken back and a crushed abdomen and pelvis. At approximately 5:00 p.m., he was transported to Sunbelt Regional Hospital by ambulance and he was pronounced dead at approximately 5:47 p.m.
