Investigation Summary
Employee #1 wandered into an area uphill from a site where a coworker was using a hydraulic excavator. An uprooted poplar tree had lodged itself in a pine tree. The limbs of the pine tree broke, probably as a result of strong winds, and another poplar tree fell and killed Employee #1.
