Investigation Summary
The driver of a vehicle pulled away from the side of the road and drove up the road for approximately 75 ft before stopping to talk to his foreman. The driver stopped the vehicle, set the air brakes, and spoke to the foreman. As he did so, Employee #1 was walking to another truck and passed in front of the parked vehicle. The driver then disengaged the brakes and took off, striking Employee #1 and running over him. Employee #1 died from his injuries.
