Employee struck and killed by board

At approximately 3:20 p.m. on March 27, 1992, Employee #1 was loading an approximately 4 by 15 in. by 10 ft long board into an Economy edger to rip the board into 4 by 4 boards when the board became stuck in the edger. When the employee attempted to dislodge the board, it kicked back and struck him in the chest. The employee was thrown back approximately 7 ft against the headsaw's controls. He died of massive trauma to the heart area and internal hemorrhaging.
