Employee Killed When Caught Between Parts Of Machine

On October 1, 2002, Employee #1 entered the back side of the kicker/bumper section of the Sandwell roll/sort equipment paper Machine Number #5 to retrieve his pocket knife. Shortly after entering the area, the machine started running, and Employee #1 became caught in between the "arm" of the machine and a portion of the sorting table. Employee #1 died as a result of trauma to his head.
