Investigation Summary
A mechanics' supervisor was trouble shooting a linter that would not restart. He was checking the continuity of the conductors in a three-wire circuit leading to the linter's motor. The circuit had been deenergized and locked out. As he was working, he pulled a group of conductors from a T-junction in a conduit. This junction was shared by two motor circuits, one of which was still energized. While leaning over an I-beam, the employee removed a wire nut from one of the energized conductors and contacted the bare wire. He was electrocuted.
