Investigation Summary
An employee was working on top of a Pole Barn that was being built beneath an existing 7200-volt overhead power line. The barn was about 15 feet high. The employee had climbed a ladder to gain access to the top of the barn and then crawled under the power line. As he stood up, he contacted the power line and fell to the ground. The employee died either from electrocution or from injuries sustained in the fall. Current entry and exit points were the back of his head and the backs of his legs, half way between the knees and the ankles.
