Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was conducting clean-up duties during her early morning shift. A regular customer purchased a pack of gum. The customer apparently went to the restroom in the store's rear, stole the security video tape, and then initiated a robbery. He forced/chased Employee #1 to the rear of the store where he shot her to death. Approximately $16 was taken. The death was the result of a criminal act. It is recommended that a monitored alarm system be installed and that the workers be given personal alarm activating devices.
