Employee fractures legs in fall from bridge

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on October 19, 1993, Employee #1 was torque testing bolts on the structural steel system of the bridge. Employee #1 was not tied-off or using any other fall protection. Employee #1 fell approximately 31 feet to the ground, fracturing his legs. He was taken to the hospital.
