FORKLIFT CONTAINING SCAFFOLD TIPPED OVER INJURING EMPLOYEE

A Lull Highlander highlift forklift, Model 844, had three sections of 37-inch scaffold attached to the forks. The lift tipped over while backing down a ten degree right to left grade. The scaffold held Employee #1. He was working on a work platform on the scaffold six feet above the fork level. His height above the ground was approximately thirty feet. The apparatus landed on the left (driver's) side and Employee #1. Injuries sustained to Employee #1 included a punctured aorta and broken ankles and foot bones.
