Employee killed when pinned by sign

In preparation for a concrete pour to secure a sign, Employee #1 was straightening an existing concrete and block wall that had been set into a small excavation. The employee dug out sand from under the sign, thereby undermining it and causing it to fall backward onto him. The falling sign pinned Employee #1 against an existing block wall, killing him.
