Employee injured by falling log while off loading truck

Employee #1, the driver, was hauling logs in a truck other than the one he normally drove. He had loaded logs over the side stakes and set the binder chains. After pulling into the destination log yard, he released the binder chains from the driver's side of the truck bed. He went around to the passenger side and was pulling the binder chain from over the log load. A 12-ft log dislodged, striking the employee on the head, hip, and leg. Employee #1 required hospitalization.
