Investigation Summary
At 9:05 a.m. on September 14, 1990, Employee #1 and a helper were cutting trees in a logging operation. Uphill from them, a skidder operator was hooking cables to trees that had just been cut. The skidder operator backed his skidder against a dead tree to brace the skidder while winching the cut trees. When the skidder moved away from the dead tree, it fell, striking and killing Employee #1.
