Employee injures back while debanding scaffold sections

Employee #1 was debanding a scaffold section. As he stood in front of the section and clipped the band, the sections (which come 10 to a bundle and weigh approximately 40 lb) sprang loose and pinned him against an erected scaffold. Employee #1 suffered back injuries and was hospitalized for observation.
