ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE

A power line worker for an electric utility was troubleshooting overhead power lines. Strong winds were blowing at the time. He discovered a tree lying at an angle, leaning on a 12.5-kilovolt overhead power line. While he was under the power line, investigating the situation, the line broke and landed on the employee. He was electrocuted.
