ELECTRIC SHOCK - GROUND FAULT IN MOBILE HOME

An employee was working under a mobile home, removing bolts from three axles. There were two bolts on each axle and one on each side. The employee was using a double insulated impact wrench powered by an isolated 3.5-kilowatt generator mounted on a truck. The employee was using a two-conductor extension cord with an equipment grounding conductor. The neutral bus in the circuit breaker box supplying the mobile home was bonded to the frame of the home. One of the owners was attempting to energize the mobile home wiring by randomly touching a conductor within the box to different terminals inside the box until the lights came on. At some point in this process, the mobile home owner apparently energized the frame of the home, electrocuting the employee.
