Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was helping remove old, loose roofing from the gallery (Texas House) roof of a grain elevator. He had his back to the south roof edge and was pulling toward that edge. He was close to the roof edge so that when the roofing material tore, he apparently lost his balance and fell over the edge 131 ft to the ground. Employee #1 died at the scene.
