Employee loses consciousness and falls installing canvas and

At approximately 12:15 p.m. on January 14, 2015, an employee was working as a rigger assisting the ground crews and other riggers installing canvas on a temporary stage structure for a Super Bowl game. The was a diabetic and it appeared that his blood sugar was low and he lost consciousness and fell. He was carrying a double lanyard attached to harness D-ring. The employee did not tie off as necessary and fell 35 feet to his death. He suffered a concussion, broken hip, fractured arm and shoulder when he hit the pavement after a 35-ft fall.
