ROAD GRADER OPERATOR DROVE INTO CANAL AND DROWNED

EMPLOYEE #1 WAS WORKING ALONE IN A SUGAR CANE FIELD, OPERATING A CATERPILLAR ROAD GRADER. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GRADING A ROAD LOCATED ALONGSIDE THE CANAL. AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT THE GRADER WAS HEADED SOUTH ON A GRASS ROADWAY BESIDE THE CANAL. HE APPARENTLY LOST CONTROL OF THE GRADER AND DROVE INTO THE CANAL. HE DROWNED.
