Employee killed in fall through floor opening

At 3:30 p.m. on August 13, 1992, Employee #1 picked up an unsecured 4 ft by 8 ft sheet of 1/2 in. plywood that was covering two 24 in. floor openings 38 in. apart. Employee #1 stepped forward without looking. He fell 26 ft through the westernmost opening to the ground. Employee #1 died a short time after arriving at the McComb, MS, hospital.
