Employee dies of asphyxia after skidder roll-over

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on October 16, 1990, Employee #1 was operating a grapple skidder and drove it off a 22 percent grade skid trail. The skidder rolled over approximately three times before landing on its side on the roadway below. Employee #1 sustained a serious head injury, was knocked unconscious, and because of his position was asphyxiated and died.
