At 10:00 a.m. on August 24, 2018, Employee #1 and a coworker, employed by a cons truction company, were working at the demolition of a three-story commercial bui lding. They were disassembling a gantry crane when one leg of the crane collaps ed and struck Employee #1's back. The crane was being supported by a hand-opera ted easy lift and did not fall. Emergency services transported Employee #1 to t he hospital, where he was admitted and treated for multiple fractures.
