At 8:32 a.m. on May 9, 2017, an employee climbed the tree using tree climbing sp urs preparing to make a cut with a chainsaw. The employee climbed the tree and b efore he could make a cut the tree began to crack from the bottom, and uprooted from the ground. The employee fell with the tree and sustained bruises to his ch est and abdominal area. The employee was hospitalized and treated for his injuri es.
