Employee in road work zone is struck by motorist and killed

At 9:10 a.m. on March 24, 2020, Employee #1 was working in a road work zone under an interstate overpass as part of a multiemployer construction project. He was compacting a utility bore hole that had been dug to locate buried utilities. A motorist lost control of a vehicle, came down an embankment, and struck the employee. Employee #1 was killed.
