  4. Upcoming Milestones

In the upcoming year, OSHA and SDMS will renew the Alliance agreement and continue to promote awareness of the Alliance Program and provide information, guidance, and access to training resources to protect employees' health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to work-related MSDs.

The Alliance implementation team members are committed to maintaining and updating the OSHA and SDMS Alliance Web page on OSHA's Web site and SDMS's Alliance-related Web page on the organization's Web site.

In addition, Joan Baker will continue to promote the OSHA and SDMS Alliance and the Alliance Program during presentations that she gives on the prevention of work-related MSDs to numerous organizations throughout the United States.

SDMS is also planning to support and promote the 2007 NAOSH Week, May 6-12, 2007. The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), another Alliance Program participant, is the Week's sponsor and numerous other Alliance Program participants are also supporting the event.

Finally, OSHA and SDMS are working with other Alliance Program participants including, the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, the Laser Institute of America and the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare to update OSHA's Hospital eTool.
