Background:

The Safety and Health Arkansas Associated General Contractors Partnership for Excellence (SHAAPE) Partnership was formed by the Associated General Contractors of Arkansas (AGC) and OSHA's Area Office in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Partnership formed in August 2006 with the goal of providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees in the construction industry in Arkansas, and to help prevent serious injuries and illnesses through increased training, and implementing and monitoring effective safety and health management systems (SHMS).

Background:

The construction of the Weston 4 Power Plant is a major project involving extremely dangerous work. In an effort to reduce injuries and hazards, key representatives from the Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, the State of Wisconsin's Department of Commerce, and OSHA's Region V Appleton Area Office signed an OSHA Strategic Partnership (OSP) agreement on November 2, 2005.

Background:

In July 2010, Ryan Companies US, Inc., the Building and Construction Trades of South Central Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program, and the OSHA Madison Area Office formed the Hilldale OSHA Strategic Partnership (OSP). The main purpose of the OSP is to provide a safe and healthy work environment during the construction of the 19 million dollar new unique Target Store (T-2765). The building is a two-story structure with the majority of the first floor consisting of an open parking structure.

Background:

In February 2009, Rush entered into an OSHA Strategic Partnership (OSP) with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), organized labor, state consultation, and specific sub-contractors. The OSP promoted construction site safety and health during the construction of Rush's new hospital building, Orthopedic Building, parking garage and power plant. Rush is nearing completion of construction of the 14-floor, 806,000-square-foot hospital building near the corner of Ashland Avenue and the Eisenhower Expressway.

Background:

On March 11, 2009, the Northeast Wisconsin Foundry Ergonomics Partnership (NEWFEP) II OSHA Strategic Partnership (OSP) was formed to reduce injuries and illnesses by implementing effective safety and health management systems (SHMS); eliminating serious hazards; and developing policies, practices, and processes to decrease the incidence and severity of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) for workers in the foundry industry. It is the third OSP formed since 2003 between OSHA and stakeholders from this industry.

Background:

In April 2007, P.J. Hoerr Inc., the Illinois Onsite Safety and Health Consultation Program, and OSHA's Region V Peoria Area Office developed an OSHA Strategic Partnership (OSP) to implement during the Illinois Medical Center construction project. The Partnership was formed to reduce injury and illness rates and promote safety and health.

Background:

The Central Ohio Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Unions 683 and 1105 formed their second OSHA Strategic Partnership (OSP) to promote a safe and healthful work environment for all electrical construction and maintenance industry workers. The OSP improved participants safety and health management systems (SHMS) by utilizing the industry's latest technology, innovations, and best practices available.
