OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE TO CADMIUM

ACTION: Notice of limited reopening of rulemaking record
Abstract:
In rule document 92-12903 beginning on page 24310 in the issue of Monday, June 8, 1992, make the following correction: On page 24331, in the second column, in amendatory instruction 5e to §1926.58, in the second line from the bottom, "(m)(2)(ii)(B)" should read "(n)(2)(ii)(B) ".
This notice schedules informal public hearings concerning OSHA''s proposal (56 FR 57036, November 7, 1991) to modify the existing provisions for controlling employee exposure to methylene chloride. The Agency requests that interested parties present testimony and evidence regarding the issues raised by the proposed standard and by this hearing notice. In addition, this notice reopens the rulemaking record so OSHA can receive additional comments regarding the proposed rule. All informal public hearings will begin at 9:30 a.am.

Safety Standards for Scaffolds Used in the Construction Industry
AGENCY: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Labor.
ACTION: Proposed Rule; Limited reopening of rulemaking record.
OSHA amends standards in 1910 and 1915 to include reference to employee exposure to Cadmium. The Authority section of 1910, 1915 and 1926, Subpart D are revised and a new paragraph is added to 1910.19. 1910.1000, tables Z-1-A and Z-2 are amended to include entries for Cadmium.

Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health; Full Committee Meeting
OSHA proposed on June 12, 1992, at 57 FR 26002, to issue more protective exposure limits for 376 toxic substances for employees in the construction, maritime and agriculture industries. A comment period and hearings were scheduled. this proposal followed a similar final rule for air contaminants in general industry issued January 19, 1989, at 54 FR 2332. The Air Contaminant proposal for construction, maritime and agriculture is similar in approach to the general industry rule.
Notice is hereby given that the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and health, established under section 107(e)(1) of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standard Act (40 U.S.C. 333) and section 7(b) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 U.S.C. 656), will meet on October 27, 1992, at the Frances Perkins Building, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave, NW., room S-4215 A and B, Washington, DC. The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 9 a. m.
