Abstract: Advance notice of proposed rulemaking for Methylenedianiline 4,4- MDA.
Abstract: Request for information and notice of public information gathering meeting. Comments must be received by March 1, 1985. Public meeting scheduled for February 13, 1985 in Washington, D.C.
Abstract: Advance notice of proposed rulemaking: occupational exposure to formaldehyde, 1910.1000, Table Z-2. Comments and information relevant to the reduction of formaldehyde exposure are requested by August 15, 1985.
Abstract: This notice summarizes the information contained in EPA's report on occupational exposure to 1,3-Butadiene and invites interested parties to submit comments regarding EPA's report and actions required by OSHA, including OSHA's response to EPA, which must be made by April 8, 1986. Comments should be submitted by January 27, 1986.
Abstract: Response to the EPA referral of 1,3-Butadiene (BD) to OSHA. It was determined that BD poses risk to the occupationally exposed population at the current OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) and that the risk can be reduced or prevented through the promulgation of a revised standard. Exposure to BD can be controlled by instituting engineering controls, improving work practices or requiring employees to use personal protective equipment. Potential exposure can be effectively reduced through the reduction of the current PEL.
Abstract: Proposes to amend the occupational exposure to formaldehyde standard (1910.1000, Table Z-2). The proposal contains provisions for employee exposure monitoring, medical surveillance, recordkeeping, regulated areas, emergency procedures, preferred methods to control exposure, hazard communication, and selection and maintenance of personal protective equipment. Written comments must be received by March 10, 1986. Notice of intention to appear at the informal rulemaking hearings must be received by March 10, 1986.
Abstract: Announces a change in the starting date of public hearings and changes in dates for submission of comments, notices of intention to appear, and other documentary evidence on the proposed revision of the standard for occupational exposure to formaldehyde. Written comments must be postmarked by March 24, 1986. Notices of intention to appear must be received by March 24, 1986. The informal rulemaking hearing is scheduled to begin on May 5, 1986.
Abstract: Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking; Occupational exposure to 1,3- butadiene (BD). Announcement of initiation of action to reduce worker exposure and acceptance of the EPA referral. Comments in response to this Advance Notice should be submitted by December 30, 1986.
Abstract: Advance notice of proposed rulemaking; occupational exposure to methylene chloride (also known as methylene dichloride, dichloromethane or DCM), 1910.1000, Table Z-2. The results of animal studies indicate that the present permissible exposure limit (PEL) for DCM may not provide exposed workers adequate protection against potential cancer risks and other adverse health effects. This notice summarizes the potential adverse health effects associated with exposure to DCM.
Abstract: Announcement of limited reopening of rulemaking record on occupational exposure to formaldehyde to include new information regarding epidemiologic studies of persons exposed to formaldehyde, additional data on employee exposure to formaldehyde in the foundry industry and other feasibility-related issues. Written comments on the new submissions must be postmarked by January 12, 1987.
