Stand Up 4 Grain Safety Week (SU4GS) sponsored by OSHA National Alliance partners represents a collaboration of agricultural industry groups to provide a collective industry focus on and commitment to safety. The stand up is a dedicated focus on a hazard or a set of hazards that workers face every day.

A committee of volunteers organizes and oversees the weekly activities, with administrative, technical, and financial support provided by the Grain Handling Safety Council and the Grain Elevator and Processing Society. These organizations also maintain a dedicated website and social media channels.

The 2025 9th annual Stand-Up 4 Grain Safety event hosted by Iowa State University Kent Feed Mill and Grain Science Complex, IOWA Department of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing (DIAL) and IOSHA Consultation Program highlighted the importance of safety programs, training and new technology.

The International Grain & Feed Industry Academy at Iowa State University is developing and delivering outreach programs for Iowa and global grain, feed and animal industries. The internationally recognized faculty and staff teach students the process and best practices through practical hands-on training involving the newest technology.

The 2026 Stand Up 4 Grain Safety will be held at the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign, March 30- April 1. Learn more about how to participate or join a virtual session.

The OSHA On-Site Consultation Program offers no-cost and confidential occupational safety and health services to small and medium-sized businesses in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and several U.S. territories, with priority given to high-hazard worksites. Consultants from state agencies or universities work with employers to identify workplace hazards and how to fix them, provide advice for compliance with OSHA standards, train and educate workers, and assist in establishing and improving safety and health programs. On-Site Consultation services are separate from OSHA enforcement efforts. To locate the OSHA On-Site Consultation program nearest you, call 1-800-321-OSHA (6742) or visit www.osha.gov/consultation.
