IDIDIT, LLC, a manufacturer of automotive aftermarket steering components, partnered with MIOSHA’s On Site Consultation Program to strengthen workplace safety and increase employee engagement. Through the consultation process, the company identified opportunities for improvement and took action to create a safer, more proactive workplace

Rapid Safety Improvements
  • Developed new lockout procedures and trained employees on their proper use.
  • Installed improved machine guarding.
  • Secured proper labeling for forklift attachment.
  • Provided insulated gloves and training on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
A Shift in Safety Culture

The consultation also helped drive a noticeable change in how employees approached workplace safety. IDIDIT saw increased hazard reporting, greater participation in safety processes, and stronger communication between employees and leadership.

These changes helped make safety a more visible and shared responsibility throughout the organization.

These efforts helped IDIDIT achieve Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) status on December 2, 2025, recognizing the company's commitment to exemplary workplace safety and health practices.
