Crash Champions in Nevada

Crash Champions, a leading collision repair company with more than 650 locations across 38 states, including six facilities in Nevada, has strengthened its commitment to workplace safety through its partnership with Nevada SCATS.

After OSHA introduced Crash Champions to Nevada SCATS, the company worked closely with the consultation program to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices. That collaboration led to significant enhancements in several critical areas, including:

• Standardized container labeling protocols
• Strengthened respiratory protection procedures
• Improved access to Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Expanded employee safety training program
• Enhanced communication of company-wide safety initiatives.

The success of these efforts prompted Crash Champions to implement these improvements at locations nationwide.

Building on this momentum, Crash Champions made substantial investments to further strengthen its safety culture by:

• Investing more than $150,000 in facility improvements
• Hiring a program manager to evaluate existing policies and training programs while developing specialized training for specific job roles
• Hiring an incident management specialist to ensure every incident—regardless of severity—is reported, investigated, and followed through with corrective and preventive actions
• Developing comprehensive incident reporting, investigation, and review processes
• Implementing a robust commercial software system to manage corrective actions and increase accountability
• Improving incident review procedures by sharing investigation findings with leadership and responsible team members to drive continuous improvement. 

Crash Champions also established a Champions Safety Committee to support its six Nevada locations and promote employee engagement in workplace safety. Today, four Nevada facilities are participating in the pre-SHARP program and are actively working toward achieving SHARP recognition.

Through its collaboration with Nevada SCATS and its continued investment in safety, Crash Champions has built a stronger safety management system, empowered employees, and reinforced its commitment to protecting workers.

The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) acknowledges small and medium-sized businesses that have used OSHA On-Site Consultation Program services and operate exemplary workplace safety and health programs.
