Country Partners Cooperative (CPC) is a full-service cooperative with service offerings in grain, agronomy, energy and feed. They serve the farmers and producers of south central and central Nebraska. This facility is CPC's largest grain elevator and handles the most bushels throughout the year.
They wanted to continue showing their commitment to employee safety and health by partnering with Nebraska On-Site Safety and Health Consultation Program.
Through the process, employees were reminded of CPC's commitment to their health and safety not only at work, but at home as well. They were empowered to take corrective action on their own and to have ownership of the facilities that they work in.
They continue to have an incident and injury free workplace, with over 1000 days without a recordable incident. Employees participate in weekly and daily safety sessions led by management and themselves. They value their improved relationship with Nebraska Department of Labor and consider that to be the greatest impact that resulted from their consultation visits.
CPC received Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) status in February of 2025. This was the first CPC location recognized with SHARP, and they plan on having their other facilities work towards SHARP soon.
The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) acknowledges small and medium-sized businesses that have used OSHA On-Site Consultation Program services and operate exemplary workplace safety and health programs.
