29 CFR 1910.305(f)(1): All conductors used for general wiring were not insulated unless otherwise permitted in this subpart a) Steel Yard - Outside Bay, 225 Kiwanis Boulevard, West Hazleton, PA - Employees operated the Ace 25-Ton (Serial No. 4245) overhead crane to transport steel plates with a 230V electromagnet energized by a conductor with damaged insulation. Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard on or about July 24, 2014. b) Steel Yard - Outside Bay, 225 Kiwanis Boulevard, West Hazleton, PA - Employees operated the Konecranes 20-Ton (Serial No. 8503) overhead crane to transport steel plates with a 230V electromagnet energized by a conductor with damaged insulation. Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard as observed on or about July 24, 2014. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is not required for this violation. The hazardous condition was corrected during the inspection.
