29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(ii): Employees who participated as hazardous materials technicians, or were expected to participate as hazardous materials technicians, had not received at least 24 hours of training equal to the first responder operations level, and in addition have competency in the areas outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(ii)(A) through (q)(6)(ii)(F) and the employer did not so certify. Midwest Farmers Cooperative, 600 South 10th St., Tecumseh, NE - Employees responding to an ammonia release on or about March 20, 2014, shutting ammonia valves and turning off equipment at the accident site to stop the ammonia leak, had not received the training required by the standard to act as hazardous materials technicians.
