29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means: JOBSITE: The employees, engaged in installing channel-type steel beams (beams) to reinforce the existing structural steel beams (tasks) utilizing mobile scaffolds were allowed not only to position themselves, but also bring the beams in close proximity of the overhead electical wiring that had damaged electrical conduit and exposed live wiring. On or about 07/12/12, one of the employees came in contact with the above exposed live wiring while performing the task, and the employee was electrocuted from the incident.
