29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color. a) Meltroom: On or about March 22, 2011 and at times prior thereto, the exit sign over the meltroom door was not illuminated by a reliable light source. The nearest emergency light was approximately 48 feet away. b) Packaging: On or about March 22, 2011 and at times prior thereto, two direction exit signs were not illuminated by a reliable light source. There was no emergency light within a line of sight of the exit signs. Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
