29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: Flower Production, 7 N Bridge St, Holyoke MA: On or about 1/11/22, employees working with hazardous materials including, but not limited to, ground cannabis were not provided effective information and training on the hazards of the material, including, but not limited to, exposure prevention, signs and symptoms of inhalation hazards involving the upper and/or lower respiratory tract (e.g., allergic reactions such as rhinitis [nasal congestion], coughing, shortness of breath/asthma) and skin contact including irritation, itching, and/or hives, and the need for medical evaluation should symptoms develop.
