29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel or the distance between the abrasive wheel and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard exceeded one fourth inch: A. Solid Pins: On, or about, April 15, 2021, the tongue guards provided on the Baldor pedestal off-hand grinder were adjusted more than a quarter of an inch from the abrasive wheels. B. Metal Cut Products: On, or about, April 27, 2021, the tongue guards provided on the DeWalt pedestal off-hand grinder were positioned up over the top of the guard enclosure. C. Machine Shop: On, or about, May 6, 2021, a tongue guard was not provided on the right side of the Baldor bench mounted off hander grinder, Cat. No. 612R.
