29 CFR 1910.177(d)(2): The employer did not provide a restraining device or a barrier to be used when inflating tires on single piece rim wheels which are not bolted onto the vehicles: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck by hazards while inflating tires on single rims. This was most recently documented on January 9, 2020 at 365 Main St, Burr, Nebraska where an employee had been inflating single rim truck tires without a restraining device or barrier. On January 8, 2020 an employee was servicing a single rim truck tire and the tire separated from the rim resulting in fatal injuries.
